Model-driven Video Decoding: An Application Domain for Model Transformations
نویسندگان
چکیده
Modern serialization formats for digital video data are designed in a way that they allow for the combination of high compression rates, high quality as well as performant enand decoding. As the capability for real-time decoding often is a requirement, concrete decoders are usually implemented in a way that they best fit a specific architecture and, thus, are not portable. In scenarios, where it is essential that the capability to decode existent video data can be retained, even if the underlying architecture is changed, portability is more important than performance. For such scenarios, we propose decoder specifications that serve as templates for concrete decoder implementations on different architectures. As a high level of abstraction guarantees system-independence, we use (meta)models and model transformations for that purpose. Consequently, every decoder specification is (partially) executable, which simplifies the development process. In this paper, we describe our concepts for model-driven video decoding and give an overview of a prototypical implementation.

Video Abstraction in H.264/AVC Compressed Domain
Video abstraction allows searching, browsing and evaluating videos only by accessing the useful contents. Most of the studies are using pixel domain, which requires the decoding process and needs more time and process consuming than compressed domain video abstraction. In this paper, we present a new video abstraction method in H.264/AVC compressed domain, AVAIF. The method is based on the norm...

Scene change detection plays an important role in a number of video applications, including video indexing, searching, browsing, semantic features extraction, and, in general, pre-processing and post-processing operations. Several scene change detection methods have been proposed in different coding standards. Most of them use fixed thresholds for the similarity metrics to determine if there wa...

Severe Tropical Cyclones associated with surges frequently hits the coastal region of Bangladesh. For a reliable hydrodynamic model to simulate the severity of such cyclones, it is necessary to incorporate the meteorological and hydrological inputs properly. In order to incorporate the coastlines and the island boundaries properly in the numerical scheme a very fine grid resolution along the co...
متن کاملE-Government: on the Way Towards Frameworks for Application Engineering –draft–
In this article we present high-level architectures for e-Government applications. These architectures depend on a country’s strategy for e-Government integration and they give rise to two major issues. The first issue is how to guarantee semantical quality of information regardless of the chosen architecture. The second issue is how to facilitate sound transition of eGovernment applications fr...
متن کاملAutomatic Generation of a Multi Agent System for Crisis Management by a Model Driven Approach
Considering the increasing occurrences of unexpected events and the need for pre-crisis planning in order to reduce risks and losses, modeling instant response environments is needed more than ever. Modeling may lead to more careful planning for crisis-response operations, such as team formation, task assignment, and doing the task by teams. A common challenge in this way is that the model shou...
